PREVIEW: Hull City v Reading

Hull City's play-off ambitions are slim, but crucially still alive, following a 0-2 away win at Ipswich Town last time out. Incredible then, that when the Tigers were trounced - by a frankly poor Reading team back in the autumn - a play-off possibility for the hosts has even emerged. City were entrenched in a relegation battle back then.

Nigel Adkins continues to muse over the contract offer that the Allams have offered him, but the longer the contract lingers, the less likely it is the City boss will sign. To be fair, the Allams are hardly offering an attractive proposition unless the miracle of the play-offs is realised and the Tigers go on to win promotion. And even then... Anyway, captain Markus Henriksen is available for selection once more now his two game has been served, but Adkins simply may keep last Saturday's winning side.

Reading have hardly tore up the division this season - and until recently, looked destined to take relegation down to the wire. But the Royals have spluttered into some form of such, tasting defeat just once during their last six matches to provide some breathing space above the dotted line. Nelson Oliveira could return to the starting XI following a recent hamstring injury.
