PREVIEW: Sheffield United v Hull City

Never mind all that midweek bollocks with Leeds, the talk at Hull City this week has been utterly dominated by take over speculation. While for the majority, the parting of the Allams cannot come soon enough, the word on the street is; Paul Duffen is set fair for a return to club, backed by the Saudis. Now there are many points here - not least being, is it even true - but suffice to say, let's believe it when we see it, given the Allams track record.

Blunting Blades...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, City's league form continues to nosedive. Adkins once again returns to the scene of his Sheffield crimes, but does at least arrive one up, after knocking Sheffield United out of this season's League Cup at Bramall Lane, for all the good it did us. Team news deems Jordy de Wijs and Evandro will once again be missing, but Jackson Irvine's injury may not be as bad as first feared and faces a late fitness test. Starlet Dan Batty will once again be added to the squad, as he was in midweek, which is a genuine boost.

Chris Wilder will be hoping his Sheffield United squad can keep up the pressure on Leeds and Middlesbrough after ending the midweek round of fixtures with a joint share of the lead with the aforementioned. A winning side is unlikely to be changed, but on loan Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn could be added to the squad. As we all know City's record against the Blades in the league at Bramall Lane is dismal, with just one actual win in 19 previous attempts. That really does need to change.
