PREVIEW: Reading v Hull City

The need to get back on the winning trail is never more prevalent for Hull City, given who they face this weekend - and ominously, who comes next. Reading away is first up and City have only lost one of their last nine visits here - and not any game against the Royals in the past eight meetings home or away. Couple that with Reading losing all their home games this season and... yeah, we're all thinking it, too...

Tigers boss, Nigel Adkins really does need something from this match for a variety of reasons, not least being Hull City could be in the bottom three if they lose. With a trio of Yorkshire derbies to follow against Middlesbrough, Leeds and Sheffield United - all of whom are currently in the top 6 - losing is not an option. Only Dan Batty in midfield looks likely to miss the game, aside from the long term injured at the club.

Meanwhile, home manager Paul Clement is pleased to see another game come around so quickly, after a midweek defeat at home to Norwich City. Adrian Popa, Dave Edwards, Jordan Obita and Garath McCleary all remain doubtful, after missing out on the action with injury last time out. However, on loan midfielder Saeid Ezatolahi could make his debut, after arriving from Russian side Rostov.
