PREVIEW: Wigan Athletic v Hull City

That welcome winning feeling on home turf hasn't got long to resonate for Hull City, as the 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town is smartly followed by the trip the DW Stadium to face Wigan Athletic. The carrot for the Tigers will be a (rare) victory here will see Adkins' side pull level on 10 points with the Latics in the Championship table.

The City boss does have some injury concerns ahead of the excursion west along the M62, chiefly with outstanding young central midfielder Dan Batty - who was substituted late in the first half on Saturday - with a knee injury. In addition, full back Stephen Kingsley suffered a head injury and will also be assessed ahead of the game. Chris Martin will be hoping to make his full debut in attack.

Meanwhile home manager Paul Cook will be selecting a side that does not feature midfielder Sam Morsy, who was red carded during Saturday's 2-0 loss at Brentford. However, a likely replacement could see Darron Gibson return to the fold, who has been missing from the team since opening day of the season.
