PREVIEW: Burton Albion v Hull City

Saturday's 4-0 crushing of QPR, has taken a huge amount of pressure off Hull City, as they travel to struggling Burton Albion this Tuesday. The hosts are deep in the relegation mire - bottom of the table and still needing 8 points to climb out of the bottom three - and now, a distant 12 points behind their visitors Hull City.

Can City put the skids on Burton at the Pirelli Stadium?

A busy week has seen, Nigel Adkins chose to rest the bulk of his first team for the away trip to Wolves a week ago - and yet, still gained a magnificent 2-2 draw. That afforded much of his preferred starting XI a welcome break from first team action, a gamble that paid off handsomely with a thumping home win over the Hoops at the weekend. Quite how the City boss will play this one, is anyone's guess. However, for the first time this season, a fully fit squad is available, increasing the likelihood that changes will occur once again.

Home boss Nigel Clough will not have the same luxury as his opposite number, with some key members of the squad struggling to make the grade. Damian McCrory, John Brayford and Jacob Davenport will all need fitness tests. Tom Naylor, Kyle McFadzean and Lloyd Dyer are hoping to be patched up for the game despite niggles, while Liam Boyce completed his first 90 minutes following injury and will also be assessed ahead of Hull City's visit.
