PREVIEW: Ipswich Town v Hull City

With Hull City appearing in dire straits before the weekend win over Norwich City - especially coming from 1-3 down to do so - it just goes to show, a win at the bottom end of the table can do the club a real power of good. If, for the first time this season, the Tigers can claim back to back wins, the Tigers will be almost out of the relegation woods.

It is no coincidence that striker Abel Hernandez's return via two fleeting appearances since an Achilles injury back in August has already yielded 3 goals which has seen a sharp upturn in City's fortunes. The quality the Uruguayan holds is evident, coupled with young loanee winger Harry Wilson from Liverpool, there is belief the Tigers can salvage this car crash of a season under manager Nigel Adkins. Indeed, the City boss has no new injury concerns and could name the same XI that downed the in-form Canaries last time out.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy seems to buy into the theory that the Hull City will pull themselves out of the mire, given his pre-match presser. Although 12th in the table, Ipswich have failed to score in their previous four home matches - and have never gone five home games without finding the net in their history. Two players are ruled out for the hosts; Dominic Iorfa (thigh) and Mustapha Carayol (groin) but left-back Jonas Knudsen (hamstring) is said to be back in contention.
