SUMMARY: Hull City 4-3 Norwich City

Ok, CI openly admit it; we simply don't have the exhaustive vocabulary to sum up a remarkable game at the Circle this Saturday versus Norwich City. The ingredients for this match included an early opener, four penalties, seven goals, a losing hat-trick and a Hull City comeback win when trailing 1-3.

Wilson's wonder winner!

The Tigers roared out the blocks and created plenty of chances throughout. Irvine's 7th minute opener was a mere aperitif to what was to come. Marshall's minute of madness in the home goal saw a 1-0 lead frittered away when conceding a penalty on 17 minutes, before 60 seconds later getting beat on his near post. The visitors were gifted a second penalty on 39 minutes that afforded Maddison his hat-trick for Norwich. But two minutes later, yet another penalty was given to the hosts and Hernandez netted for 2-3 half time score.

The drama continued upon the restart as a staggering fourth penalty was awarded, again to Hull City - and Hernandez once more restored parity from the spot on 47 minutes. The Tigers looked more dangerous going forward and created much of the chances throughout, looking determined to complete an amazing comeback. And their efforts were deservedly rewarded with Wilson's wonderful curling effort on 71 minutes to complete the turnaround and lift the Tigers to 18th place, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Amidst all the fuckwittery that the Allams continue to foist upon the beleaguered fans (see the ridiculous concession poll for proof) one young man from Leish, Ireland, made a rare trip over to East Yorkshire for this match to see his beloved Hull City. The delight on his face as the first and last Hull City goals went in during this game tells me this; the fans were here first, the fans will be here last - and the divisive, vindictive rule of the Allams - cannot and will not ever crush the spirit of Hull City fans wherever they may be. Never.

That one was for you Daz.
