PREVIEW: Hull City v Barnsley

A huge televised victory over Sheffield United on Friday night was just the tonic the Tigers needed, ahead of a massive match at home to Barnsley this Tuesday evening. With the TV cameras screening the last match, City fans took the opportunity to demonstrate their anger at the owners of this club, releasing months and years of pent up frustration. And lo and behold, it didn't affect the team, because evidently Hull City won.

Home manager Nigel Adkins has one or two players nursing injuries following the 1-0 victory over Sheffield United, but he has refused to name, names. Striker Abel Hernandez is back with the first team, after a run out for the U23s, following a six month Achilles injury - but is unlikely to start just yet. Kamil Grosicki will be pushing for a recall, as the Polish international winger came off the bench to help seal the win over the Blades.

Barnsley have a new manager at the helm, as previous chief Paul Heckingbottom left for Leeds United recently. Boss Jose Morais has two injury concerns with centre back Matt Mills and left back Daniel Pinillos both needing to be assessed after respective ankle and illness worries. The Tigers have won all four of their previous home league clashes against the Tykes - and will be aiming for a first double of the season.
