PREVIEW: Chelsea v Hull City - FA Cup Rd 5

Fine, choose the game for TV. But who in their right mind chooses THIS match to be the Friday evening game? A team from the the far flung reaches of the north, does not have a hope in hell of getting back home on the same evening from London - so tell us BT Sport, who came up with this bright idea?

FA Cup 5th Round

A Third Round victory at Blackburn Rovers, followed by a Fourth Round victory over Arsenal's conquerers - Nottingham Forest - has seen the Tigers pluck the champions out of the hat for FA Cup Round 5. Boss Nigel Adkins has made it clear he has massive injury problems to contend with ahead of the match, meaning a much changed starting XI is likely.

Obviously, the Chelsea loanee contingent have been ruled out, meaning Michael Hector, Fikayo Tomori and Ola Aina are ineligible to face their parent club, devastating the usual back four. Compound that, with key midfielder Seb Larsson beginning a two match ban, plus skipper Michael Dawson and Kamil Grosicki unlikely to feature through injury - and it really will be scratch side sent out at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stated with games coming up against Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City over the next two weeks, changes are expected. David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley are all injured, while Striker Olivier Giroud (calf) and defender Marcos Alonso (ankle) face a late test to be fit for the fifth-round match against City.

Ah well, reserves, kids and fringe players then for the Bridge.Iit was fun while it lasted, right?
