SUMMARY: Hull City 0-0 Leeds United

Hull City can be pleased with their defensive effort - after keeping another clean sheet and restricting the visitors so severely - Leeds United failed to register a single shot on target throughout the entire match. Yet, the goal scoring has dried up in the league for the Tigers and it's a problem that needs resolving sharpish.

Boring Leeds

The hosts utterly dominated the first half and should've been ahead just 4 minutes in, but Campbell fired wide from an acute angle when in on goal. City created good opportunities, Dicko forced a smart save with a fierce volley, Irvine was denied at the near post, while Bowen had two decent attempts thwarted, as the Tigers smelt blood. Yet, a laboured looking Leeds side hung on as the match remained 0-0 at the break.

Come the second half, Leeds perked up a little, but offered no attacking threat that thrust McGregor into any meaningful action during the course of the match. Instead it was Dicko once more, missing the chance of the game when seeing his header spoon over the bar, when it looked easier to score. Campbell failed to turn a close range effort in from a goal mouth scramble as the game ticked on, so the spoils were reluctantly shared.
