PREVIEW: Queens Park Rangers v Hull City

It wasn't so much the defeat to Wolves at home on Tuesday night that hurt City so much, more the fact that Abel Hernandez was stretchered off - and as is now prevalent, his ruptured Achilles means the Tigers' star striker is going to be ruled out for the next 6-8 months. A bitter pill swallow, if ever there was one.

Leonid Slutsky is forced into changes anyway, because Markus Henriksen finished the same match with injury and misses the trip to Queens Park Rangers as a consequence. Better news for the Russian boss, is the news Kevin Stewart is finally fit and ready to return to action, meaning he is almost certainly going to collect his debut for City at Loftus Road.

Like Hull City, Queens Park Rangers have managed to chalk up a win, a draw and a loss so far this season. However, the midweek trip to Norwich City ended in a 2-0 defeat and cost the club injury-wise as Joel Lynch - injured in that match - is ruled out. Meanwhile, late fitness tests will be required for Yeni Ngbakoto, Idrissa Sylla and Pawel Wszolek giving manager Ian Holloway food for thought over his selections for the game.

The Tigers hold decent sway over Queens Park Rangers in recent times, winning their two previous visits to Loftus Road and currently are in the midst of a seven match unbeaten run against the Hoops, winning three and drawing four of those matches.
