NEWS: Tigers take five

Hull City have signed another defender ahead of their first Championship outing - Aston Villa (a) next Saturday - by bringing in another Chelsea loanee. Michael Hector has joined the club following in the footsteps of Ola Aina, to boost manager Leonid Slutsky's defensive options.

Calling Chelsea (again!)

Hector is a versatile defender, capable of playing anywhere along the back four and becomes Slutsky's fifth first team signing of the summer, as the Tigers look to recover from the disappointment of relegation from the Premier League and aim to bounce back with promotion at the first attempt, for the second time in succession.

The 26 year old speaking on Hull City's official website declared - 'First and foremost, I’m here to help Hull City be successful. But - on a personal level - I’m also here to play games. That’s a big thing for me. I’ve come here looking to progress and kick on. I feel fit, strong and ready to go. I feel as though I can help the team win games and hopefully we can all enjoy a successful season together.”
