NEWS: One in! Two out! Third to follow?

At last, another Hull City signing has been made. Ex-Tiger Fraizer Campbell has made a surprise return to the club after joining on free transfer from Crystal Palace in a two year deal, with a third year option built into the contract for the club to exercise should they choose to retain the striker. A signing undoubtedly set to divide the fans, with the added mystery of the Campbell model we saw in 2008, likely has a way to go to improve in 2017-18 version to go on and win over the fans. But for now, welcome back to the ranks Fraizer.

Eldin's off...

Meanwhile, it comes as no surprise to learn that two of City's longest serving players have chosen to leave the club. The first is Egyptian international Ahmed Elmohamady, who has chosen to reunite with former Tigers boss Steve Bruce at Aston Villa. The Midlands club exercised a buyout clause in his contract for £1m and joins the Villains in a three year deal.

Also making way is cult keeper Eldin Jakupovic, who has also seen a buyout clause met in his contract - this time by Premier League Leicester City. Although the fee is undisclosed, it is believed the Tigers will recoup around £2.2m from the transfer, with the 32 year old keeper signing a three year deal with the Foxes.

Finally, the protracted transfer of Andy Robertson to Liverpool is set to be complete imminently for a fee of around £8m, thought to have been agreed between the clubs. However, City are set to sign Reds defensive midfielder Kevin Stewart by return - and City are thought to be in the hunt for his highly rated team mate Ryan Kent, who is also being pursued by Leeds United. Expect more news on this particular clump of transfer activity with Liverpool very soon.
