NEWS: One down... one to go?

On the day that Hull City announce their first signing of the summer - the day they depart for pre-season training in Portugal - it once again appears the squad will be weakened once more, with news that Leicester City are set to up their interest in Tigers shot-stopper Eldin Jakupovic.

Ola! A signing!

However, for now at least, Leonid Slutsky has leaned on his Chelsea contacts to bring in promising England U21 international Ola Aina on a season long loan deal to boost his defensive options, especially as the pacy defender can play at right back or centre back following Harry Maguire's departure to Leicester City - and Moses Odubajo is still sidelined with a long term knee injury.

On completing his move Aina stated to the club's official website - 'This is a big move for me - my first loan away from Chelsea - and it's all going to be a new experience for me. I know there is a really good squad here and I am excited about working with the players that are here. I've spoken with the Head Coach and he wants to take Hull back up to the Premier League. The vibe that I got from him was really good and I just want to hit the ground running now.'
