NEWS: Defender departs for Derby

Hull City have seen FA Cup Final goalscorer - Curtis Davies - leave the club, after Derby County made a swift move to tie up the defender ahead of the two clubs going head-to-head in the Championship next season, as the first of several exits from the club now seems imminent.

That's Davies, that! Putting us 2-0 up in the Cup Final!

Davies was a popular player for the Tigers. before injury curtailed his Premier League season last term - and from there - the combative defender struggled to win back his place in the team under ex-boss Marco Silva, as the club sunk to their inevitable relegation due to the compete mismanagement of signings during the last summer window. Ah yes, who could forget Curtis' team photo from their pre-season training camp in the Alps?

It is perhaps fair to say, Hull City have enjoyed the best of Curtis Davies, but certainly he would have proven to be a useful player to have in the camp for the hard slog ahead in the English second tier. Lest we forget that it was the 'big man at the back' casually putting the Tigers two up in the 2014 FA Cup Final versus Arsenal with barely 8 minutes on the clock in his hay day for us...

Therefore, gone he may be, but forgotten he won't be. Good luck Curtis, from us all at CI...
