PREVIEW: Southampton v Hull City

So, which Hull City will turn up on the south coast? The one that Marco Silva hopes will replicate their home form, or the predictable valiant triers that seem destined to fail outside the fortress known as the Circle? It really has been a proper Jekyll and Hyde season for City on the Premier League road under their new Portuguese boss, but a win here, would really crank up the pressure on relegation rivals Swansea City who travel to Manchester United a day later.

It seems increasingly likely that right back Omar Elabdellaoui will not only be out for this game, but in fact the rest of the season, which is a real blow. However, positive news deems striker Oumar Niasse will not begin his 3 match suspension after his red card versus Watford last week - that produced an incredible 2-0 home win for the Tigers against the odds - was successfully overturned by the club on appeal, which saw the card rescinded.

Southampton have been unusually quiet at home this season, producing just six wins on home turf to date. Indeed, current form sees the Saints winning just two of their last seven matches at St Mary's. Manager Claude Puel will welcome back Sam McQueen from injury, but it's too soon for long term injury victims Charlie Austin and Matt Targett. Unerringly, Hull City have not won here since 1951...
