SUMMARY: Stoke City 3-1 Hull City

Hull City were left to rue their lamentable away form in the Premier League as they succumbed to yet another defeat on the road. Fortunately, results elsewhere deem the Tigers keep their two point buffer above the dotted line - and crucially (thankfully?) will be returning to home soil next weekend after back-to-back away games.

Yet, this Saturday saw Marco Silva's side begin poorly at Stoke and on 6 minutes, Arnoutovic was lashing in the opener for the hosts. The Tigers struggled to get into the game, appearing over run in midfield and stretched at the back, with Maguire coming closest to restoring parity before the break, when blazing wide from a corner.

A much improved performance from the visitors at the start of the second half saw Maguire this time get his shot right from Hull City's short corner set piece and the scores were level on 51 minutes. Good endeavour saw the visitors make the running, but on 66 minutes a push unseen on Rannochia gave Crouch all the time he needed to put Stoke back in front with a header and Shaqiri's wonder goal 10 minutes from time sealed the Tigers' fate.
