SUMMARY: Manchester United 0-0 Hull City

An stoic performance from Hull City saw the Tigers turn in their best rearguard action of the campaign to take a well deserved point from Manchester United at Old Trafford. City are playing with purpose, structure and desire - and Marco Silva is clearly being bought into by the players given this display.

Clean sheet at Old Trafford? Oh aye!

City's game plan was nothing other than predictable, but the organisation, determination and doggedness kept the Tigers in the game. Harry Maguire headed over the best chances the visitors could muster in the first half, both coming from set pieces which appeared the best route to goal, along with the counter attack. Eldin Jakupovic was called into serious action twice, once from Ibrahimovic to turn a shot round the post, before beating away a fierce shot from Pogba when played in. At the break, Hull City were deservedly level.

The Tigers held firm in the second half and quelled the mounting home pressure well. Jakupovic pulled off City's save of the season from close range on 72 minutes to preserve their clean sheet, before Lazar Markovic almost snatched all the points for the visitors when he hit the inside of the post on 85 minutes. Incredibly, Hernandez had the freedom of Old Trafford to race clear on 90 minutes, but the ball wouldn't sit and a weak shot was easily saved. But the point from this 0-0 draw took the Tigers off the bottom of the table.
