BREAKING: Phelan sacked!

Hull City owners Assem and Ehab Allam have parted company with the ludicrously titled 'Head Coach' of Hull City - Mike Phelan - it is being reported. The news comes as a shock, despite results which have produced just one win in eighteen matches, as the City hierarchy have been notably conspicuous by their continued absence from the club.

Exactly, Mike.

Shamefully, despite a poor run of results - even though the performances on the pitch have improved recently - Phelan has been hung out to dry by the Allams, who have refused to communicate with the fans, the media and have even stopped attending matches this season. Coupled with this, zero interest or investment has gone into the club, the squad and time devoted to the Tigers has been minimal at best.

Repeated calls from Phelan for help from above have been routinely ignored, yet it is he - just three days into the transfer window - that has suffered the indignity of losing his job, while the Allams fail to outline precisely what their own intentions are for Hull City, as the club slide deeper into Premier League relegation trouble with every passing week.

Seriously, what now? Are you going? Staying? Appointing a new manager? And realistically, who would come and work with you? Why not P45 yourselves and do us all a favour?

The club have released a short statement on their official Twitter feed with the following date attached 3/12/17 (Jesus wept!)

"The club can announce this evening (Tuesday) that it has parted company with head coach Mike Phelan. The search for a replacement has begun and an announcement will be made in due course."
