Les Hare and others seem to be willing to clean up the mess.
Let's hope the Villagers return stronger.

Shit news.

All for 7 fucking grand.

I hope they are able to resurrect it all under proper owners.

Heard the same.

They deserve far better than Chadwick (Waltham's puppet) - and to think, that silly bastard was trying to form a phoenix club out of one that already existed!

Now then...

Waltham and the other idiot only purchased the club for one reason only and that was to buy the clubs position in the pyramid. Otherwise they would have had to start right at the bottom. They then would have renamed the club and moved them.

Its not suprising that no one came in to save the club knowing what a pair of gobshytes these two were and trying to relocate the club. Fortunately the FA saw through it all the same as they did with the allams.

I think that had they not had these ulterior plans and had bought the club in good faith and trying to improve their situation they may have got someone interested in coming onboard. As it was they were not prepared to bail the club out because the FA had stopped their plans in their tracks. It wouldn't surprise me that Les Hare and his backers had got wind of this after the FA decision and waited until the day they went under. That then triggered Les and the others into immediately applying for the place next season on the NE Counties premier league. Les will get loads of support, support that no one was prepared to give to the other two because they knoew what their game plan was.

The club will start with a clean sheet and hopefully slowly rise to a position in which the club will feel comfortable with. There is also no doubt that somewhere along the line the allam influence was there when they decided to pull the plug on the Billy Bly trophy game.

I don't think any of us can start with a clean sheet until you admit on here that you were lying when you claimed that you wrote the bass line of Frankie Valli's The Night, Sunny old bean.

Hope some of you good folk donated to the new venture. Every bit helps.

I worked with a bloke who reckoned he wrote a message to you Rudi. Dunno I’d if it was true. It was an odd place as Jack Bodells son worked there too. don’t know if he was there when Ali opened their chippy but it’s a good story either way.
