I read the submission by Chadwick.

Seems like the main issue is you can park 110 more cars at Dene Park, there is enough room to build a 15,000 seater stand, it’s in the East of Hull so a nice rival to West Hull City Tigers and fans will no longer be confronted with the shocking abuse when attending games from villagers muttering “bloody football” when handing over a fiver to get in.

It’s a slam dunk clearly.

I mean, who cares that they beat Wrexham at Wembley hundreds of days ago. History is nothing, it’s the future that counts and the fans can catch a bus every few minutes to the ground rather than catch a train to Ferriby ground.

East Hull is crying out for a non-league team. Shame Hall Road don’t play there anymore.

Chadwick taking over at Ferriby was just a ploy to get a team to his best mate and former Ferriby owner Jamie Waltham’s Dene Park. If anyone goes to Ferriby now it can clearly be seen that Chadwick has no idea how to run a football club. He has no commercial business sense, nor any money. He needs to stick to doing loft conversations from his East Hull office and let some proper business people take over the club, as there are quite a few interested.

Dene Park is in North Hull for a start, not East Hull at all. Also they might have room for 110 cars but 100 of them are parked on a couple of the pitches and it is a nightmare to get out of the place onto Beverley High Road as the access/entry road is no more than a dirt track.
I went to see Hull United play there a couple seasons back, maybe more, and to be fair I quite enjoyed it because it was good old fashioned football as I remembered it, meaning some of the tackles would get you a custodial sentence these days.
The crowd numbered 75-100 tops and most of them were the Liverpool mangers coat wearing types or sporting FC or Rovers bobble hats etc. Remember some daft twat in an Arsenal shirt, you get the picture of the type who are attracted by this sort of new venture.

Decent little set up to be fair, nice club house and that but no-one was paying to get in and I couldn't see how he could make it pay.
I can see what Waltham is aiming which is another football club to rival City, or at least attract some of the disallusioned fans we have at the moment. But shiffting Ferriby there to leap frog up the leagues is not the way to do it.

The last time I was at Dene Park was a National Sunday cup match between Deborah United and some scallies from Liverpool. 2 coaches of scouse and a healthy mix of Sunday league lads made it a really good atmosphere. Couple of decent dust ups on the pitch and I think it went to penalties, but maybe it didn’t too.

I agree with KB, decent enough club house but Ferribys is alright too (from a good few years ago mind). It doesn’t make much sense to me and clearly it’s not any revolutionary master plan for the health of amateur football.

Fair enough, charity isn’t the way forward, but neither is airbrushing tradition and history. Build your own team if you want, leave Ferriby in Ferriby. Just sayin.

I hope it fails spectacularly, mostly as it's just plain wrong to do that to NF. But also as just about the last thing City needs is a 'budding rival' that some of the 'inadequates' you describe can latch onto (not meaning the disillusioned), rather than to support their local FL club.

Chadwick, in my opinion, is merely a puppet for Waltham.

Waltham has many 'big ideas' and largely they are just that.

And by the way, if you've not done so, you need to sign the petition.

Actually, it’s a fair point that KB makes about Deano Park being N Hull, not East Hull.

So all that guff about Hull and Rovers, rival to Hull City is just bollocks, as is the whole event of course.

I trust the Ferriby remainers have used this as evidence.

Agree, Cheats. KB is bang on.

East Hull FFS!

Straight outta the Allam book on how to change a football club's name.

Yep, Dene Park is definitely west of the river. But is it in Hull? If not, it's definitely north of anything in Hull.

Good point TOP.

It's address is Dunswell.

Which if my memory serves me correct has a postcode that begins HU6 0

If that's the case, it's outside the Hull boundary.

Either way, as you can see - as Waltham's puppet states - there's a compelling argument Dene Park is in East Hull.

Not.
