Hearing from a very good, trusted and reliable source, City are close to being sold.

Foreign investors from the Far East.

But then, we've been here before.

I'm not enamoured.

For Cheats and Imp, looking like more Chinese.

* sigh *

Now then...

I will believe it when it is done. I suppose they will get to the stage of signing and then throw the SMC equation in and buyers then at that stage walk out.

Quiet as a church mouse this side.

Can’t imagine it tbh, think the usual suspects have already had a look and turned their noses up at it.

Odd really, because all you ever see in Asia now is this years Cardiff shirts and talk of
Huddersfield.

Let's hope that it comes together sooner rather than later.

Think you misspelt that if referring to Duff end.

It’s a different mentality newland. The Chinese/Asians buy clubs like they buy other trinkets, to show off to their pals at the country club. Ask Imp, he I’ll tell you the same. The money I spent often (fookin always actually) illegal and they are looking to get it out of China for a future event, like leaving China. Some buy condos in decent countries and never live there or rent them. The plan is to sell at a later date and they then have legitimate cash.

So to buy a club for £100m and sell it for £50m is a bargain for them. In between, they don’t give a fuck about it.

Peter Lim was going to buy Liverpool. He’s about the wealthiest man in Singapore. He bought Salford. It’s not for some shitty non league club but because he can call Scholes and Giggs his mates. I think he leaves the Neville’s off his speed dial though.

As we lament often, foota has changed and not necessarily for the better. A Boro type chairman and owner are a rare breed.

Then we have middle east owners who are seemingly a different breed and mentality to the Chinese?
