A '50's woolen goalie jumper?

Where did that go?

Hope it wasn't entrusted to the Mammons...

Harsh. Barry Parke and Turner had a thumb war to determine who would get the role of custodian looking after Sting's jumper and polishing the 1982 East Riding Cup on a weekly basis in their retirement. Barry won and served Ehab his matchday glass of sauvignon blanc for 3 years in preparation, in the face of the CTWD and Airco protests, until even he had enough.

I did type Waliker St but it changed it to Walker without me bothering to check.

That said, the lady in question was mythical in nature, a kind of fake news. I’ll guess we don’t know who knitted said memorabilia, apart from the herb that sold it off their Walton St car boot for a quid.

When you think about it, it would be quite nice to have it back as a memorial to City paying homage to some random knitwear.

Silverwear, we don’t care...... we all know the rest.

I went to the 5-0 league cup game at ot where many city fans didn't get in till half time
also went to the sheff wed league game 2004 ish when we took over 6k
it is a novelty value and it drums up excitement and anticipation
I don't think you can knock anyone for not wanting to go nowadays
some blame the allams but the bottom line is its just shit at most games nowadays
Bristol city away killed it for me a few yrs ago
no coont wanted to get behind the team and sing
im sat there like a nutter trying to make some noise with a couple of pals
and then some young city fans start taking the mickey out of me

nearly slapped the fookers

most of the noisy rowdy types who went on brookies and gothards coaches 5 yrs ago don't go and neither do the two coach organisers

sat there watching doesn't interest me in the least

its like watching summat shit on telly, you switch it off

well that's what I and many others have done with city and football today

switched it off

nowt to do with being an uber fan or loyal supporter

if its shit -and I don't mean results wise or performances on the pitch - then why bother?

loads of other shit to do and not much time left for most of us on here in which to do it
