What a disgraceful state this club is. I have no axe to grind with Adkins. He had been out of work and took on a basket case of a club. He was probably promised sound backing when in discussions about a contract. Like all others before him he was clearly lied to. Players sold under his feet. Hardly any budget and also probably not involved in any way in recruitment. He got what he was given. Wanted new player before the deadline but our inglorious owner decided otherwise. Yesterdays display from what I have read was an absolute disgrace. No spirit, no quality, players rowing with each other, no leader and the list goes on and we are only into the 3rd league game. The allams have driven this club into the ground through sheer, spite, malice and a total disregard for those supporters left going. They should feel deeply ashamed but I assume they are as happy as sand boys.

It's fairly obvious that none of the signings are Atkin's choices.. they have been signed as the only players available and he is expected to make them perform, so a coach rather than a manager - as Barmby, Bruce, Phelan and Slutsky before him alluded to at certain points in their tenure.

Grosicki apparently been told that he won't play for the club again until he personally apologises to Ehan for not earning his wages fairly, as opposed to his international performances. So until that happens, Atkin is without a Championship standard player.

Let's be honest, Dull have signed Campbell a decade too late. He's not awful, but his career is falling off a cliff.

Who are the 10k - seemed to be mainly pensioners?

Is there anything else to highlight from Adkins?

Not really. Hasn't got the players to overly tinker too much. He's trying to build a wall using sand as mortar.

I do have an axe to grind with Adkins.

It’s a given that the club he walked in to was an unflushed public toilet.

There is (paid for) £30m of players in the club right now. Not great players, but competent enough. Campbell would be your impact player now, let Dicko do the donkey work. Bowen and Gosicki, Toral and Irvine - can create a chance or three. Defence is pants but maybe do a slut and win 5-4 every week.

He picked Henriksen as captain. Bloke isn’t good enough to get a start, isn’t a leader. Poor decision. The team yesterday was the same one that failed to make the most of two average teams. It needed a shake up. U Nige went for the same same. No ability.

Then he spurts the “all in it together” bile and off we go on another fantasy that all is ok.

He won’t walk. Got no desire to take anything less than he can take out 5e club like all the others.

When the Allams walk the new owners should possibly look to Barmby to rebuild the trust. He was ok in his tenure and I’d have liked to seen a bit more.

We’ve been here before, so hang in chaps.

Let’s be realistic, Cheats. Barmby was far less than impressive in his short tenure. One of the few decisions the Allam’s made that I agreed with. It probably resulted in our promotion. His appointment was always Motherhood and Apple pie.

His sacking was probably one of the reasons we got promoted. Though the way it was done was completely disrespectful towards a hardworking club servant.

You are not wrong PoM.

Barmby was a popular appointment and his dismissal caused the upgrade to Steve Bruce which was a real catalyst for the club.

NB has/had an affinit6 with the club though and was a believer in youth. I’d rather have Barmby involved than Deano but it needs so much more than that now.

Hull will not finish the season with Atkins in charge.

If this continues, Hull's current position will be a high point for the next few seasons.

Being a coach like Adkins is far from easy given his current situation.
Going on record at the end of last season with what he ideally wants.
Being an armchair coach like you are Cheats is even more difficult.
Campbell has shed a good stone and looked much livelier although he had no support.
Doing a Slutsky to win 5-4 every week is very much out of the question!
On Saturday's performance, we will be lucky to create five chances in five games never mind scoring five goals in one game!
No Grosicki or Wilson to provide.
Only Bowen who now has two men on him when he gets the ball and we have no other options.
A big burly forward would be useful but the way we are going about our recruitment is "laughable".
Oliver Norwood would have been as good as two players in the middle, just what we needed but no, we piss about yet again.
Tymon, Clarke, Townsend all have pace and would have been cheap options to retain/resign but yet we waste 2.5 million on Kingsley who can't run and opposition wingers run through him like a knife through butter.
I've never known such appalling management of contracts and recruitment in our club. From the "star larkers" to the academy players.
I dread to think of the amount of money that we've wasted.
They aren't even running a club like a business, they've wasted millions!!!

Armchair? You mean barstool KK surely!

I can tell you, it’s not easy being a critic, especially when I haven’t even seen the highlights let alone the full game.

As I say, a half decent coach would do something with £30m ish in transferred players. If Stewart isn’t good enough then unload him for a mill or something. Dicko is better at the one-up-front charade.

It’s exhausting just thinking about it, but Prudential man has little to no excuse. He knew, he fookin knew the story. If he had integrity he’d walk but he has a mortgage, so he’ll bluster and bullshit instead.

Anyone know how we got on in the warm up on Satdee?

Adkins is useless. Full stop.
Brings in a winger over summer and hasn't given him a start, even in micky mouse cup.
plays a full back at left wing.
Saturday.... Left back gets injured and has to go off. moves right back to left back. move full back playing out of position at left wing to right back. brings on central midfielder........to play left wing.......leaving the ACTUAL winger on the bench.
Spends a chunk of whatever little money we had on a player he doesn't want to play.
Bought McDonald last year, played him. slagged him off and dropped him!
whatever question he gets asked he answers with young side, working hard, stick together bla bla bla
Every interview lasts 12 minutes but has about 4 minutes of content, repetitive bullshit.
He highlighted this, highlighted that, highlighted the other.
He talks in riddles and jargon.
Saturday had nothing to do with the Allams. it was down to him and his lopsided clueless formation. 1 up top and nobody around Campbell.
I'm going to Rotherham Tomorrow, more to get the New York tick and not because I think we will win. although the way we set up probably suits us better away from home anyhow.

The finest club captain english football has ever seen.
