I remember when we used to have a large TV screen in the main city square...

This to smerk me out?

We had a big screen that became a political issue after the HDM took offence at a secondary local news source in the city.

The disaster that was minns, and his hapless bunch of lib dem nitpickers, made it an election biggie to rid us of it if elected.

Dunno where it is now, perhaps with the balance of the KC shares they magicked away.

I fooking hate the Lib Dems, me.

Good luck vs Colombia !!! Belgian Tigers support England !!!

Hope to meet again for the final but then: We Are Belgium

Hey HOP, good to hear from you, hope you beat Brazil.

Where do you stand on this Group G first or second in the group debate?

Glad to win it?

Or would you have preferred to have finished second and be on England's side of the draw instead?

I don't say we will become World Champion but if want to go as far as possible you will have to face Brazil any way. And I'm sure we have a change to beat them. They have (gaylord) Neymar, Marcelo, Willian....., we have Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku and .... Fellaini. I know, he's a bastard but I'm glad he's in my team.

PS: do you think Brazil is happy to face Belgium? I guess not.

Cheers mate

PS2 : there's no Belgian flag in the list

Apparently there's a petition with almost 300,000 signatures to get the England-Columbia game replayed on the grounds that England were given preferential refereeing treatment and it shouldn't have been a penalty.

This reflects intelligence and comprehension standards in some quarters. Those 300,000 are allowed access to scissors and other sharp instruments.

It was sold to HKR for virtually nothing. Don't know if they managed to find a plug to fit it or a socket to plug it into. I liked the big screen and it did become political. The council now hire one in for special occasions.

Great result for you there, fella!

Brilliant game, in a brilliant World Cup.

Intended going into town this morning to buy a FC/Liverpool half and half scarf for a 'massive' Liverpool fan I know on Greatfield. He 'supports' Liverpool because his grandad was called Bill, same as Bill Shankly. But my plans have been thwarted in a way I never thought possible in this mad, passionate, 'they love their rugby league' rugby town. The FC shop's are closing today at 3.00 pm......because of a football match taking place a couple of thousand miles away. I don't remember any shops closing when the RL World Cup was on, or even when it was on, do you ?

HKR seem to have history with these types of purchases. They bought a scoreboard from Sydney (Australia) but there were no spares so as soon as it stopped working it was buggered forever.

The original concept was for the ends to be grassed so families could have a picnic while watching RL. A picnic on Preston Road. Lovely.

Then there was the club crest woven in the carpet in the boardroom. Not sure whether they spelt the name wrong or game the weavers duff info but it was wrong and only cost another 10grand to get a replacement.

How I’m not sat with Jeff Stelling on a Saturday arvo is a mystery.

If you want today’s result versus Swindon justness call my premium number 0800 1966. Calls cost a mere £4.95 per minute, minimum call time is 11 minutes. Get permission from your mums first though.

I probably don’t see nearly as much as you lads do but I’m not of the same view.

England beat two pub teams, and one of those was a last gasp effort in a generally flat display. Panama wouldn’t get in the Vanarama “B” league.

Sterling gets stick cus he’s a shithead. Not nearly as good as he thinks he is and will have floated out of the game in the next five years. A lazy player.

Jesse Lingard. The answer is in the title. Likes a spectacular but can’t do the simple things. Delphi etc, just baggage. Be well fooked without Kane.

As for the tournament.. happy to not be there. Loads of painted faces and under 9s sat with their mums sending a text. Where’s the lads in butchers coats and docks facing off with each other? A game for pussies and LGBTs, whatever they are.

At least I don’t have to listen to Jermaine Jeanarse and Daniel Murphy spouting bollocks and verbally masturbating over defunct superstars. Apparently Jeanarse reckons he saw Messi in the warm up and spotted he was up for it and on fire. He needs to get a job with our Nige who also has some magic with the pre match warm up. Pity the rules state it’s the official 90 mins that count eh.

Let’s see what happens but don’t be surprised to see us get dumped and resting heavily on the fact the “group is young and work in progress”. Right.

2 weeks in to the tournament and I haven’t seen the advantage of VAR yet. Players drawing squares instead of indicating a card should be shown. 57 camera angles and yet no one apparently has spotted that Mick McManus sneaks on the pitch for most corners. Either use it or put it away, as they say in any decent brothel (allegedly).

Last moan of the day. Fookin krauts cost me a lump, then the Spics.

Bollocks

Sterling was excellent. A constant threat and terrorised their d-fens. Made a couple of wrong decisions when in a scoring position, if not the score would have been nearer the Panama one. Henderson and Lingard also played well.

A good team performance. Probably the most likable England team since 1996.
