5-0 up with 9 minutes to go... ends up 5-2 versus Roma.

The same Roma who lost 4-1 at Barcelona in the first leg of the last round, but managed to win 3-0 at home in the second leg.

Roma have not conceded a goal at home in the Champions League this season.

So... fucked it? Or still fancy it?

Me, I reckon Liverpool will definitely score at least one in Rome... game on!

Now then...

Not my club

Unfortunately a lot of pubs in Hull will have been full of cunts going madas Liverpool raced into a 5-0 lead.

When we were in PL City were playing in the afternoon and the early kick off was a Liverpool game.
Queens waspacked with people cheering Liverpool on. Someone we know asked why didn't they support their local team? He got the answer "We do -Rovers". A bit of a ruckus ensued.

Sums up the problems City face ever getting the backing of the whole city like most other places with only one football club.

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

I still recall a decent ruck at a M62service station when the one or two (max) City coaches ran in to Hull Reds.

Even though it was local lads it never felt better than giving it to blokes who chased the glory rather than follow the underdog.

Reminds me what it means to be a City fan

Even the mighty Tigers are only going to manage a greatest-come-back-ever* once a season, so I can't see Roma repeating themselves.

Potentially we could add Robertson to the lengthy list of future/ex Tigers who've won the European Cup.

* Was it the Norwich one or the Bristol City one?

Seems all over social media Hull's finest are showing their true red colours, pathetic.

Another reason to hate the Allams as for the first time in my lifetime we'd just started to correct this but needed at least 2 generations to put it to bed for good. Now back to square one.

Whoops! Sorry for the delay. I was pretending there'd only been one when there hasn't only been one, so take your pick.

The pubs will be rammed with born again liverpuddle fans on Satdee, not just in Hull though.

It’s a fucking disease like selfies.

I don’t mind the team or manager (entertaining etc) and they never cried over Curtinho baring his arse to them either, tho £100m helps the grief.

Nah, tired of this super team patronage. Wait though, is the Chelskie dream about to end!

Doubt I’ll watch it and doubt I’ll watch the World Cup either. Build up my energy for another assault on the championship ehSalute

American owners, German manager, players from countries all over the globe. But we have to support them as they are an English club.

New impoverishment for one of the "elite" would be an interesting development. "Elite" for about 13 years, that is. I remember us beating them 3-0 in division 2. We joined the league at the same time as Chelsea but they've spent most of the time since in the top division, not winning it, while we've spent most of our time in the second flight, not winning it. Liverpool, meanwhile, have spent the last 28 years not winning it. My anti-Liverpool FC resentment may have eased over the years, or perhaps just since Robertson landed there. I suspect it may have had much to do with their offensive hairstyles and Souness being a grade A tosser. Oh - and that Concorde-snouted Phil Thompson bastard making so-called "professional fouls" leading to a change in the rules. I may have hated each and every Liverpool player on an individual basis; I shall have to have a rummage in the dusty boxes in the corners of my brain. I probably won't bother.

If they were the only team in England I wouldn't support them - I'm praying for complete and utter humiliation before the eyes of the world, I'll also be waiting for stories of ''the best supporters in the world'' beating and robbing their own fans of their tickets.

It is the history that is special, not the words.

Good point about their supporters. Some of the stories I've heard from them are utter twaddle. I recall one - can't remember who (Ricky Tomlinson, perhaps) - telling a story about some alleged wag in the Kop coming out with an alleged witticism at some critical juncture. The story, exaggerated to within a millimetre of its life - involves something happening on the pitch and then "just one voice" from the Kop shouting out something so blindingly obvious and unfunny that you know 50% of the average football crowd would have thought of it and then rejected it as too obvious and not remotely funny. But in Scouser wit, it was priceless, with their "unique" sense of humour. The real fact is that the last Liverpudlian to express wit (with the possible exception of Dodd) was probably John Lennon. It's a rarity. The chip on the shoulder thing got tired decades ago.
