I went to the Chillo benefit night last night.

Really good attendance, so well done to all. Good turn out by ex players, Billy, Justin Whittle, Brian
Marwood and more. I wouldn’t have recognised Boothy if he hadn’t been introduced TBH.

A mention and appreciation goes out to Mr. karlberg who worked his nuts off for this event, as he has on numerous other City related events over the years. If only the club shared the same passion and TLC about the club that he does we would be further ahead than we are. Well done mate.

I hope the proceeds put a smile on Chillos face.

Thanks pal and thanks for the raffle donations, it was very much appreciated. The raffle alone raised over £1k.

My pleasure, nice touch with the announcement too, thanks for that.

£1k on the raffle is pretty good going. I should have bid on the Man City shirt myself (on behalf of a mate). Good value that.

Plenty of faces there from times gone by. Restores some faith in being a City fan at events like that.

I won a night out with Aled Ja'on in the quiz. The losing players won two nights out with him.

Why did I get the impression, Brian Marwood, some thirty years (?) since his last game for us at Burnley, has more affinity with City than the present owners?

Some trip down memory lane not least of all John MacSeveny.

Combined total playing earnings of all those rolled out, a months wage for some now?

It certainly focuses the mind a bit.

I am doubtful that even with the warm up/warm down, nutritionist, physios, psychologists, yoga, leggings, gloves, hair bands, fur lined jock straps etc that the current footballer has anymore skill than the lads on the stage last night had.

I have a dvd of City at Charlton, 1-1. Waggy claims the goal but it was an OG, that aside, Butler was every bit Raheem Sterling.

What price Garry Parker or Jobson these days, Marwood etc. Billy or Abel. No contest.

Chillo - played 415 (193 goals)
Waggy played 378 (173 goals) league only
Remember Chillo 's testamonial Friday night against Leeds early seventies, seem to remember lot more at Chillo's than Waggy 's

I don’t even remember Waggys game.

If I’m correct, Chillo was a 7-6 mauling of Leeds.

Think Chillo's game was a Monday. Same night Arsenal won at White Hart Lane to win the League pipping Leeds to it, 50,000 locked out and people injured and rushed to hospital in the crush. On the Saturday they beat Liverpool to win the double. They might not have got past the semi-final if we hadn't been robbed against Stoke.

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

It was billed as a Billy Bremner XI. Less than 7,000 there which was shsmeful.
