Someone wrote Dawson was on £25k a week. Thought it would have been more than that TBH, might be a reason why he went fishing. Add a couple of years to a contract and a pay rise, couldn’t blame him for asking. No doubt Ehab had a fee in mind so a win win for all except the fans. Next season, a £25k a week player will be a high earner.

As KB states, just speculation and, let’s be honest here chaps, no fookin surprise these events are in play.

I like Dawson, but like Curtis last year, you can see the cracks appearing. Still a soldier, but he’s not Harry ?McGuire on the ascendancy. If we had a credible promotion push, it would be daft to sell him. We have a credible relegation problem, so daft to sell him.

Hull City eh, got to laugh, but not really.

On this thread, too, now.

Thanks.
Heard it earlier but didn't make much sense of it with Adkins talking in riddles, and mis-leading us about Daws and Growsicki being injured (yes, I'm sure they are carrying injuries but we all know that wasn't the reason they didn't play). To be fair, difficult for him to somehow keep it all together when working for them twats.
After listening again, yes, the comments 'sometimes things happen above me .... but I didn't want him to go' appear pretty damning. Sounds like there was a deal to be done, but Allams pulled the plug because they didn't secure their (much cheaper) replacement.

Or rather Nigel pulled the plug?!

How was Dawson allowed to be in Nottingham when he was supposed to be attending the HULL CITY HALL of Fame?
I reckon that Ehab would have been happy at two in/two out?!

You've omitted the only fact that we do know. The one where the Premier League knocked back the 'Chinese buyers' on the fit and proper persons ruling. The rest of your post is guesswork.

Wrong, laddie.

You know what I tell you.

A winger and centre half in? Similar out? And a few quid knocked off the wage bill. Business genius, unappreciated by Adkins.

The Aberdeen purchase offer was changed several times on the last day and fell through. Dawson was recalled back, after being told he was welcome to leave. In isolation, it's one of those things that happens in football at the expense of a player's career end, however this is endemic of how the transfer policy of the club has been managed the last few years -a cowboy, lack of respect for a supposedly 'lesser' club and a last minute decision change which will impact what was a loyal club player, one of the most experienced and senior players in the team and overall, just a ruddy, cruddy way to treat an employee. The owners have shown they don't give a monkey's chuff about anyone but themselves - the players, the team, the fans, the staff, the community etc. have all been thrown under the bus the last few years in the Allans' pursuit of making more millions.

Plenty on here said that the rag would, nor could, ever be rung dry and that the Allans were locked into the success of the club to get their capital back - yes you Obadiah, Garry and several others, but that clearly is not the case. The proceeds of the parachute payments and the money made from selling off the players, whilst cutting the admin wage bill to the bone has all reaped dividends for the owners.

Asset strippers anyone?

Have we finally got 100% agreement?

Are ostriches finally extinct in these parts?

Fuck the short term we will build a 1000 year Hull City Reich

At the beginning of the season the Allams were owed £60 million which is about the same as the parachute payment this year. If they can get their expenditure down to around £20 million they may well be able to get their capital back this year. Anything about that and they'll be struggling. £650 million is what they'll have spent by the end of next season. Such a lot of money to advertise to the world how big a failure they've been.

A year ago they sold players to fund Silva and his plan to keep us in the prem. This year they have done nothing to stave off another relegation. It is my guess the asset stripping has restored the bank balance.

Aberdeen had no intention of selling McKenna, that was never on during the last day of the window.

I don't think the loanees will have cost anywhere near what he raked in in transfer fees, we only had 4 months of the season left

Obi. Lest we forget the big numbers coming in for Harold, Andrew and Ginner. A couple of cheeky “undisclosed” fees chucked in and crash bang wallop what a picture, what a photograph. £50,000,000 to £60,000,000 in used fivers - swells Doctor (honorary) Allams arse pocket somewhat.

Harry ?Enfield would be proud of em.

I never imagined one day we would be chanting (in our heads) FISH IN, DOLAN IN. At least it was a fookin giggle. Keeper on the left wing, Herry N’Gata, a couple of kits worse than the homo pink fucker they rolled out to placate the benders at Bourneville, warm beer 8. The directors lounge (lounge!. Dennis Wise, coont though he is, called it when he shouted out the lounge was worse than the groundsmans hut).

City Hull, City Hull etc.
