It would be a good idea to not turn up and give them the 3 points before the club gets the hammering it deserves.

They'll be over it by the weekend. They won't get 6 here. Or 10. They're second, end of story.

Thought the same. Our scratch side will be full of players not wanting to tackle, run, twist, turn, slide... and ruin chances of their next payday.... It's a short career you know...

Keep it, don't hoof it...

Ok they may not get 6 or 10 but surely tottenham -2 goals looks a steel of a bet.....

I doubt Silva will want to sign off with an embarrassment. Oh, err, hang on .... a hat trick of embarrasments.
At least we wont see our best CB playing at RB. But we might well see our best player sat on the bench, zonal marking and fuck all final third.
Still, only for one more time.

BTW, in the entire history of the football league, there has only been one instance of an away team reaching double figures.

Yes, and don't mention who it was. Grr

Who was the last team to score ten goals in the top flight?

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

I remember Man City putting ten past Huddersfield, perhaps in the early 80s, but that may have been a second division game; there was a lower league game involving Chesterfield at about the same time. If not that, I think there were maybe a couple of games in the early 60s where it might have happened, perhaps with Fulham??? on the wrong end.

It was Fulham. They beat Ipswich 10-1. Boxing Day 1963, just 18 months after Ipswich were crowned Champions.

One of these years I'll do a monumental TOP stats post about all the double-figure league scores. I've got them all listed somewhere. Perhaps I'll do it as a mini-series.

Double figure as in 7-4 with a double figure amount of goals or where one team gets 10 or more?

The latter. We're joint second with Villa for the most times in league games.
