Shit singer.

Illegal immigrant = immigrant = migrant = persecuted refugee = asylum seeker = entitled. Thanks for that B.B.C.

Many artists you like would disagree.

More or less invented rock'n'roll.

Saw him at York Barbican around 15 to 20 years ago.
I thought he was close to dead then!
TBF, a legend still (which is why I went to see him I guess).

I still retain on Sky + a concert he did in London 1971 a brilliant watch.
I regret not seeing him perform live.
RIP Chuck Berry

I still see a schoolmate that I raced back from Flinny Grove Juniors after dinner to ask if he'd heard No Partiular Place To Go, on the light programme.

Magical memories.

Cheers Chuck...

Three chord wonder my arse - he gave us this;

and this, a brilliant blues track with Johnnie Johnsons piano play to the fore -

It is the history that is special, not the words.

Not that I'll be around to be bothered by it but now all the wonders of the world are leaving us (Bowie etc) who shall replace them.

Rhetorical of course because the answer is no one.

Boy band comps to blame a bit. Who recalls battle of the bands in the 80s when groups played live for fuck all but a recording contract.

In a way, like footy. It's all fooked in to a cocked hat.

Upside is that places like Withernsea get a bit extra cash as bitter old blokes like us to a Reggie Perin. Meet ya on the No.76 upstairs chaps.
