Such as?

ESSEX GULL

You think the US detention centres are concentration camps? I bet you can think of millions of people from any number of countries or religions or whatever, from various times in history, who would have appreciated being in the kind of concentration camp that lets you go home whenever you want to.

You think there's joined-up thinking in complaining about the state of the detention centres and then voting against increasing the funding for them?

She's history before next year's out anyway.

Oh, wait, that's AOC.

I have to admit that if anyone moves to a country on purpose and especially if someone seeks sanctuary in a country, and then spends all their waking hours whinging about that country, it doesn't exactly fill me with sympathy towards them. In fact, if they don't find it to their liking, they should leave.

In all your posts on free speech you didn't mention that free speech comes at a price. The price being having to leave if they don't like living in a country that gave her parents asylum?

I think telling her to leave the US isn't criticising what she said, but punishing her for what she says.

LOL! Tart them up or close them altogether? And you choose tarting up! Shameful.

Shameful? What would you be doing? The open borders option? Just let all the traffickers and drug runners in without question? Do you know 30% of "families" that turn up with kids are not related to the kids? What's your solution? They get better fed at these centres.

The detention centres were instituted by Obama. They are, as you know full well, processing centres rather than detention centres, and people can go home if they want to. Everything the Dems are complaining about was put in place by Obama, including the cages that are suddenly concerning certain people, and now it's all suddenly Trump's fault for "caging children". Since March/April this year, there has been a huge rise in the numbers trying to get in. The recent 2019 monthly figures are as many as the 2016-18 figures combined. How would you deal with the increase? Remove funding completely?

People have been getting in illegally by coming along with some child, often not theirs, then they get released into the US on condition they go for an immigration hearing somewhere down the line when their application has been processed. Of course, several years on, when they get called, they ignore it, and that's pretty much it. This is widely known to immigrants - especially with certain Dems explaining to would-be immigrants how to play the system, partly because those are future votes the Dems are hoping for. Do you think illegal aliens should be allowed to vote?

While Trump has been amusing the Dems and the rest of the world with his distraction technique of suggesting certain Dem loonies go home and come back after they've fixed home, they've ignored the fact that he's changed the rules on who can apply for asylum. It'll reduce the numbers. Very strange that the Dems haven't had a hissy fit about that.

You say it's "shameful" that the Yanks have places for would-be immigrants to bide their time while their applications for entry is processed. I expect you have a better idea how they can deal with the three or four thousand turning up every day hoping to get in. Feel free to enlighten us. Also feel free to explain why there wasn't a problem when Obama arranged all the rules in the first place.

The US could have the same arrangements in the South as they have in the North.

What I think is irrelevant. Some don't think they are concentration camps, the dominant western world media and it's voices believes them to be, so will continue to tell us/the world that they are. You or I, disputing it will cause zero change, so it is a waste of energy.

It's always been this way, we just pay for it through taxes. Same as you and I will pay for the plastic to be removed from the pacific ocean and same as we will also pay for carbon off-setting several thousand Indian and Chinese coal fired power stations.

All the 'ind3pend3nt' media voices and the Tommy Robinsons will have zero effect and are just part of the machine. Girls and boys will still get abused by the section of society that the power leaders want to vote for them, as they always have and the general public will ultimately pay for any paradigm change or power shift.

Very little you or I can do about it. Very little is said by the current media about the 500+ planes landing in the UK everyday from Asia, China, India and the Middle East, despite causing as much air pollution in a week as the entire UK motor vehicle supply does in a year, because that would cause objections and remove support from the current power base.. For example.

Only can look out for yourself and your own family as at the end of it, they are all that matter.

Concentration Camps were set up to concentrate certain undesirables - such as Socialists - into one area. They were different from labour camps and death camps, at least at the beginning.

The Trumpist ones are for brown people seeking a better life, but without regular entry visas. All of them have been concentrated in camps. Soon, any old immigration officer will be able to deport someone, with no recourse to the law. Probably only brown ones though.

She may not be the most knowledgeable of politicians and made a few gaffes, as every other politician has, but she has been put there to hold the ruling party to account for all of their actions. I don't agree with some of what she campaigns for - the green new deal, I do other things - I found it incredible that minimum wage earning republicans were convinced to and happy to support a few thousand billionaires to not have to pay higher taxes... but she's a thorn in the side that the media are happy to report on. Every parliament equivalent needs someone like her.

And regarding Omar, I think she's perfectly right to ask why US tax payers are funding a public health system in Israel, which is denied to themselves.

Good girl! A better sense of humour than Single Play!

Deport the Kraut and his East European wives.

He should go back to his own county and sort out the Nazi EU run from Hitler's former stamping ground.

Mind you, many people in this country love him. Don't they?

Thorn in the side? Very amusing. She's one of Trump's major advantages for 2020. Now that she's one of the four Main Faces of the Democratic party, they'll be leaking voters more and more. Hardly matters - AOC and Omar won't be re-elected next year. Omar's being investigated for possible dodgy paperwork by the sound of it. Apparently anyone who disagrees with anything they say is racist, as Biden and Pelosi have recently found out. Trump's been called racist every day for the last three years, so he's not bothered by it. It didn't seem to happen until he decided to run.

Mueller's performance on Wednesday was occasionally interesting but mostly sad. He didn't want to be there and had the demeanour of someone with dementia. He clearly didn't write the document that has his name on it.

I don't know what the Middle East answer is. Never have. Looks like six of one and half a dozen of another and they should all have their heads banged together. Odd, or perhaps not quite accurate, that it appears to be the Palestinians that are descended from Shem, which would make them the real Semites. Unless I got that mixed up.
