With incontrovertible proof the Americans are almost certain it was Iran. As is Jeremy Cunt.

Not printed in the UK media so much is that one of the tankers is owned by John Fredricksen, who has a long antagonistic history with Iran going back 40 years and made the initial bulk of his fortune playing off the Ayatollah against Saddam Hussein. Any tanker over 7 years old is losing a fortune right now - costs $30,000 to run one per day and bulk prices are currently at $20,000 a day... tankers built after ca. 2011 are more efficient and can run at around $18,000 a day, so break even. Anyone who ordered a tanker 7 years ago for $100 million will be currently taking charge of a new one whose value has halved in these years, due to the collapse in bulk carry prices. It works very well for FrontLine (Fredricksen and his shareholders) to have a tanker that is haemorrhaging cash to be destroyed and hence, get an insurance pay-out.

I gather the crew on one of the tankers saw an incoming missile. Someone in a poor quality film removing a magnetic (time?) bomb from a hull does not correspond.

John Kerry knows what happened.

Both tankers were taking oil products to 'enemies' of China - Taiwan and Japan. It could equally be presumed that Iran was currying favour with China, taking advantage of the ongoing US/China trade war in a desperate attempt to sell their oil.

They've been selling below production price for some years now, hence the economic problems (and social) in Iran, and like most citizens of countries, a war or threat of war helps people rally around their leaders.
