The man who did the bombing was known to the police. He was anti Gaddafi and so we let him come and go between Manchester and Libya to do a bit of loyalist killing. He was once rescued from the Med by a British naval ship, it seems.

Anyway, our boys missed him returning and - Boom! One needs to choose one's friends carefully. And enemies, of course.

That reminds me of a story about jihadis. They were being given jobs. Abdul, suicide bomb, police station. Ali, car on the pavement, Piccadily. Ahmed, extort a lot of money from brothers in Halifax. And Mohammed...

Oh no, not fucking those girls in Dewsbury again?

You make a good point about the Catholic Church and it’s loss of power in our lifetime which I believe has been mirrored in many establishments. ‘The establishment’ as a whole has far less power on people as it did. What’s mind boggling to me is how we would readily accept a re-run with another religion. This finally came out in the BBC today https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44729727 but say what you like about him Tommy Robinson covered this well over a year ago. I met a BBC news guy last night, coked up and a real pain but what was alarming was his take on this issue - totally clueless - yet opinionated. A working class guy at one point in his life from the north west but fully metropolitanated and living in a parallel universe. He decides what stories hit the news - or not.

Utterly chilling.

The BBC is the mouth piece of the ruling class. Always has been always will be until we get socialism. I'm not surprised you didn't like the bloke you met, he disagrees with you and pushes the correct line.

The evidence presented in that report was on the main news last night. The Imam basically said that the Saudis were losing in Syria because Assad was backed by the Russians and the Iranians whilst the West turned a blind eye. He was in effect a mouthpiece of the imperialist ambitions of the Saudis. The west has given up on Syria and the last thing it needs is someone stirring up trouble about its capitulation. Hence the reason the story came out now. You don't really believe the security services didn't know about the speech at the time of the bombing?

You've seen what has happened to the power of the Catholic Church in our lifetime. What do you think the persecution of Catholics in English history had? Did it convert many to being good protestants? Or did it strengthen their religious beliefs, which they took underground. Look at Belfast, would you say the troubles in Northern Ireland weakened religion or strengthened it?

Whatever you may think about the threat posed by the Imams it will only be Muslims themselves who ultimately undermine their power.

Sorry Exiled, my brain must have stopped working properly. I meant the BBC journalist pushes the correct line for the establishment. Not that the line he's pushing is the correct line, which clearly it isn't.

Everyone complains about the BBC - the Conservatives/UKIP claim it is a hard-left, biased organisation, the left, like yourself, claim it's the mouthpiece of the ruling classes - how can it be both?

My personal input is that over the last 15 years, the BBC has become too focused on opinion pieces, rather than reporting the news, and has withdrawn too much funding from international news and local news to focus too heavily on what every other news outlet reports on - so it's a never-ending repetitive stream of 300 word puff pieces on Trump, racism and Brexit. To be fair, this probably mirrors the way news is heading - not so many want to read 5000 words on the cause and results of flooding in Kerala, for example, when they can read the equivalent of a tweet on what Johnson has said or what porn star Trump beasted 15 years ago.

In a way it's sad, as this generalisation of knowledge is the opposite of what should be happening in the digital age, when in theory, there should be a reader for everything.

I'm not sure that the BBC is biased either way - it obviously has reporters who have their personal opinions which leech through into their reporting. I'd say it's blandness and 'trying to do the right thing' is damaging the brand more than anything else (and yes, that includes not reporting certain news). It's just Sky News without the adverts now.

The problem with the BBC is two-fold

First it’s charter dictates that it needs to present balanced arguments in much the same way as the French education systems demands of its students. If you don’t give equal vigour to the pro and counter argument it’s a fail. When introducing new subjects it works well as you get perspective seldom found elsewhere - however once the public takes a position the BBC can then seem out of step with ALL sides of the argument. If you then consider most people in the UK hold opinions similar to most of their social and professional networks you can see how both left AND right can all feel that the BBC’s position is miles from any kind of normality that they believe.

What is much worse though IMO-is the pathological journey into political correctness that started in the 80’s with the BBC which has led to the snowflake culture, the faux offended and things like the utterly ridiculous stuff like the “what not to say to...” series. It seems that having had the BBC harbour its very own worst of sexism, abuse, corrupt and power abusing types over the years it is subconsciously always over correcting in a way NO other broadcaster would or should do. It’s staff are STILL mainly middle class left leaning from a very narrow background and so the lack of diversity of IDEAS and POLITICS is far more problematic than the self-imagined stuff about race / gender / patriarchy et al.

It’s a pathetic joke in the pantheon of multiple sources and I think it’s time is done.

The BBC account for 27% of all hours watched in August this year. Its time is far from done. Its the mouthpiece of the establishment and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Show me any servant that isn’t left leaning...

What will they vote for more state jobs or potentially less...

The MS TV media is pretty much all left or centre left
