We used to have raw shit on our beaches until the EU made us clean it up. Are you saying that was other people's shit?

No we were talking about a global issue and taking a global perspective - I see you are struggling to stay with the point and the issues at hand.

For the planets sake get em up the wealth curve as fast as we can do they can start to address middle class western eco warrior concerns soon.

Because those eco warriors are chatting shit and there's virtually no plastic pollution in the ocean?

Why should I?

It’s the mouth of the above listed rivers whose beaches should have a brown flag awarded.

We are not the worst so do nothing? Carry on with the plastic but tell the others to change?

The global situation will be helped if we act and then show how the actions help and "sell" it to other countries. A bit of virtue signalling can help. You do it all the while.

Perhaps manufacturers of the next wonderful thing will do a risk assessment before going into full production.

As per usual, the media of a certain slant pick on one of the quirkier aspects and use it to ridicule the whole objective, which is a combined UK, US and EU wide approach to reduce the usage of plastics - the 5p charge for a plastic bag in UK supermarkets has reduced usage levels to 40% of what it was in 2015, for example. Paying a deposit and then recycling of plastic bottles has been going for 3 decades in Scandinavia and works well - you don't see cola and soft drink bottles in the street or beaches. Plastic food wrapping in supermarkets is to be targeted, as are coffee cups and fast food wrapping.

This is all good. Maybe Asia will see the example and be encouraged to follow.

In Bridlington there's a Fuck the Chinks offer at all shops of 5p for a one time bag, but if you take a second one the cost is 0p if you throw it into the sea.

I imagine that Exiled, H8, the Football Lads Alliance and Tommy Robinson's camera crew are all protesting outside their local churches, naming and shaming vicars, because it's not about race, remember?

There isn't.

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

All the litter in Brid comes from visitors from uncivilised places.

Exiled is probably the only poster on here whose father is in the Guinness Book of Records for a sporting achievement. Or anything else.

You never have seen soft drink bottles in the street or on the beaches of Scandinavia. They aren't as scruffy cunts as us who think it is someone else's job to tidy up.
I blame the teachers.

No, you pay an extra 10p/1kr on a can and 25p/2.5kr extra on a plastic bottle every purchase, then have to save the bottles and put them in a machine, which is in all supermarkets, which hands out a receipt for your deposit that you can exchange for cash or use towards purchases. It's fairly common for asylum seekers/alcoholics etc. to go round looking in public bins and on the streets for these bottles to get some extra money.

Sweden is cleaner than Norway, in my opinion. Slightly more socially conscious, more money spent on bins in public places and staff to empty them and clean the road sides etc.

Some Norwegian beaches, fjords and coves get a lot of rubbish washed up in them due to sea currents and a lot of fishing/shipping off the coast. Fairly common for communities to get together to clean out plastic 'icebergs', normally caused by km long fishing nets that have just been cut loose by Russian factory trawlers. The dead whale of two years ago that was poisoned by plastic carrier bags was big news here.

Probably won't ever be beaten - the weight and centre of gravity in modern day balls mean they can't be kicked as far.
