120,000 public sector redundancies, local government staff to go on temporary contacts, and performance related pay...

Whatever next Le gig economy publique?

That 3.9% pay rise last year must be unaffordable...

56.6% of national wealth is spent on the French public sector compared to 42% here.

Seems one by one the euro economies are ‘right-sizing’ their public sector based on what their private sector is generating in wealth.

Meanwhile here in the UK fantasy economics is about to get an airing.

It just a simple way of cutting the terms and conditions of the people I grew up with. Lower wages, lower job security, lower pensions, longer hours, worse services whilst the likes of Branson make millions from providing the same services. All France are doing is following Thatcher, Major, Blair, Cameron and May.

You would really have thought, by now, that someone, somewhere, might try to up the wealth generated by the - ahem! - Wealth Creators rather than all this cutting.

Orange Man has caused a huge drop in the Dow. Is that something the poor will have to go without for?

Well given that EVERYONE waiting for / living on a pension is a capitalist anyway and invested in bonds and equities we are all in it together.

Does that mean that everybody who uses the NHS is a socialist? I expected better from you.

A thoroughgoing and robust defence of the state of Britain at the present time. Succinct and to the point, as usual.

Only 14% of the UK population are even registered to use it. So yeah we are all socialists paying for it but not using it obvs.

It’s the worlds biggest charity by a long way.

Registered? You mean if they are carried in an ambulance to a hospital they will be turned away in 86% of cases? Why do you remind me of something surrounded by hair and smelling fishy?

If my tummy hurts it’s the first place I go.

Love sitting and waiting for 4 hours.
