There is a reason we are not running mansoor out of town and getting bent out of shape over reforming Imams

That video was a load of bollocks, as usual.

I thought it makes a great point about moderates vs. Radicals and how history allows the radicals to create the narrative and then the heinous actions.

I posted it to suggest that the original post is irrelevant.

It's the radicals we need to watch and how they begin to own the narrative.

Have British Muslim attitudes gone backwards or forward?

Simple question

The point she makes about peace loving Germans and the Nazis, peace loving Soviets and Stalin and the other examples is bollocks. Nice rhetoric with nothing behind it.

The attitudes of British Muslims or the attitudes towards British Muslims?

Both attitudes are dangerous and the current age of identity politics is only going to end up one way.

If you keep labelling people raising a problem by your perceived group identity (e.g. Crusaders) and don't identify and deal with the extremists separately within that group (the radical muslims and the 20% that support their intent) it only ends one way.

Identity politics is being played every fucking day now in the west and despite well known psychological understanding of its dangers we continue.

I've watched the first 5 minutes and it contradicts everything you've written about Muslims. He even contradicts his own advice when he talks about the Soviets and how Stalin collectivised the farms in the 1930s. I may watch it all later if I'm bored.

I couldn't manage that much. I got so fascinated by the plastic appearance of his forehead and the perfect curve of his hairline. I'm afraid I'll have to stay in the past, but if Obi posts a crit I will read that.
