A lot of your stuff can be excused by your obviously low IQ, Cov, but not this one.

I blame the Charlottesville trouble on the liberals who are trying to revise history by pulling down statues of General Robert E Lee and banning the Confederate Flag. Leave Civil War monuments alone and there will be no need for demonstrations.

I feel like we, 'the human race', had this discussion between 1933-1945, Teddy old bean, and came to the conclusion that Nazism and it's supporters were wrong, then executed them. We shouldn't really need to revisit the argument only 72 years later.

It took a bit longer, and more deaths, for the conclusion that communism and its (note the spelling, Gull) supporters were wrong. A few more executions there wouldn't go amiss, especially amongst middle class apologists drawing their gold-plated pensions and innumerate diabetic spokeswomen.

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

I'm not really sure what that has to do with the fairly recent and topical news of neo-nazi and far-right supporters holding a violent protest to support a statue of an American traitor, with an armed militia in the US in 2017.

I've been watching the escalating tensions in the US as the left has been mobilised and made violent by Antifa and until recently the soft right had not really responded. Shouting nazi all day long at people who were clearly not nazi or far right has to create a reaction. Ironically on the same day as Charlotteville a journalist seriously suggested that professor Jordan B Peterson - a man who has lecturered for decades on the evils of nazism and ideologically driven genocide - was 'far right'. As the unite the right rally was galvanising many groups inc. rebel media, the proud boys etc. Distanced themselves from it which is in stark contrast to the left increasingly gathering around Antifa.

As a result after months and months of throwing abuse and M18's and mace-ing trump supporters or ordinary free speech advocates it seems this time they met the real nazis and violence was met with violence.

I witnessed Antifa here in Manchester and it is so far away from democracy and peaceful demonstration it's a joke yet many on the left won't distance themselves from them.

Here in our own country anyone who dares speak about anything right of centre is now a nazi so I expect the level of debate to descend into the kind of havoc we see in the USA.

I thought trump called it right - violence on all sides and only by attacking our past and removing statues did is even become an issue

Let it never be said that I was silent when they needed me - William Wilberforce
