There are more McDonald's in France than the UK. Until they started expanding into China France was the most profitable overseas market for them.

And that makes a difference to us? How?

You have to be concerned at what on earth makes up a donner kebab. If it doesn't look like meat, that's probably because it's not.

it's meat alright - Alsatian, tortoiseshell or more likely a nice piece of roland

It's possible, but I'm not sure he knows those words.

No. I like to give you something to reply to in the absence of your having a reply to any points made.

2005 Labour got 355 seats from 35.2 % of the vote on a 62.4% turnout. 2015 Tories got 331 seats from 36.9% of the vote on a 661% turnout. Left wing fannies moan the second one is sooooo unfair and we need electoral reform. But didn't utter a peep, about the first one.

Seven times now to Rome, hopefully I'll get to eight in this most fascinating of cities.

Much is made by certain groups grasping on to Rome being the original multicultural city (the lamentable Mary Beard, for the BBC for instance), yet they shy away from the fact that the mix in ancient Rome was indeed through slavery - that's force, like.

Anyhow, I've noticed more and more the 'made in Italy' labels on many goods throughout Italian cities - they are distinguishing between foreign made goods and their own - a kind of 'I'm backing italy' without the derision of little Italianer that old Bruce's little ditty stirred up.

It's visual now, rather than the tacit embargo employed escpecially by the French, after they'd deigned to allow us to enter the common market (at what price we were never told) after using their veto to protect their economic interests.

Europe is not unified under the EC.

It's just a bunch of states grasping what they can for their own economic interests, a little like Ancient Rome.

Quod.

And yet you shriek and moan about UK having to pay to help pay for poorer states to be uplifted.
