http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/drink-driv er-owen-finn-knocked-down-schoolboy-kiern an-roberts-and-left-him-for-dead/story-30 261619-detail/story.html

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, the Recorder of Hull and the East Riding, warned Finn, of Hall Green, Birmingham, prison was a possibility.

He said: "You must be prepared. There may be a prison sentence."

Finn had denied the charges when he appeared before Beverley Magistrates' Court on February 22.

Pissed, failed to stop, pleaded not guilty initially, and 6 months later the poor kid is still in hospital with a very difficult life ahead, therefore pretty much a life wasted.

And the judge says he 'may' go to jail, they should hang the cnut. He should get a 5-10 stretch anything else makes a mockery of tougher sentances for this kind of offence.

Fuck me it's hard to think of anything worse apart from the kid actually being dead.

Fuck the short term we will build a 1000 year Hull City Reich

Odd to me as well, Peri old bean. .

If drink driving is a criminal offense, involving police action, then it should have a set custodial sentence irrespective of the excuses or position of the offender.

Stand in front of Judge Jeremy Richardson QC and you will have your answer Imp.

Substitute Richardson with 98% of the other judges and the circled is squared.

He's a pleasant enough chap, but a complete useless cunt when administering justice. Solve that problem and we might get somewhere.

Do you mean we might get even more in prison for longer? That could be described as solving the problem, I suppose.

Maybe, maybe not.

It's the issue of said Honourable JR QC et al being unfamiliar with how the general public live, and feel about punishment that forms the divergence.

Ask George Osborne about austerity and he will be happy to read something from a book in response. He has never had a second reminder for a gas bill in his life and has no concept of being poor. Likewise, judges have no understanding of what makes the public feel safe, because they are in a cocoon.
