Ruling party lose seats

Geert Wilders' PVV win seats

Coalition talks will now take months

Not that you'd guess on here

People think accusations of BBC bias are unfounded but explain that...

"prime minister's party had won 33 out of 150 seats, a loss of eight seats from the previous parliament"

"The Freedom party was in second place on 20 seats, a gain of five"

"Coalition talks could take weeks, or even months."

You think they should have bigged up the fascist? He was going to win a few days ago.

No I think the real story was one of growing polarisation

Wilders gained and the Green Party gained. This represents a movement away from the mainstream and a further polarisation of the population like we have here.

The headlines and party scene picture are hardly befitting of the REAL story.

Well it's hardly polarisation if new parties get votes, is it?

Its a spread of votes across 14 different political parties European election-style.

It's got less polarised than the 2010 elections when more votes were concentrated over three parties - centre left, centre right and Wilders' freedom party.

The spread of votes and coalition rules means that despite gaining votes, Wilders' party will be further out of power because the other parties are more likely to be willing to form a coalition to keep him out... Much like happened with the SD in Sweden, despite their growth in seats.

In was referring to Wilders gaining and the greens gaining with the resulting dynamic being polarising.

The right of centre are moving harder right and the left of centre are moving harder left.

Scary that you don't see it as significant.

I feel that you're not going to be content with any response I make on this subject unless I say that Holland has been swamped and taken over by Muslims and Africans who want to change the culture there and Wilders is the only man who can save it.

I didn't see your spread get anymore spread.

I saw the Marge get spread to each side left and right.

That's what the facts not feelings suggest

I was as equally intrigued by the 'rock star' leader of the greens
