The interesting and relevant economic news out today is that Germany is running at the largest budget surplus since unification.

If it wasn't for the Eurozone and one million refugees being paid for, their economy would seriously overheat and destroy their economy due to severe over growth, inflation and currency strength.

It's clear that the German economy needs the Greeces and Portugals... Plus an increased public sector bill as much as the rest of the Eurozone needs Germany.

The somewhat sad fact is that the indebted world economy simply cannot handle a large cash rich nation anymore and a hugely indebted country such as the US is actually safer for the economic system we have in place.

The real reason they want he EU.

Germany as the sovereign body with lickspittle France alongside feeding off the indebtedness of all the others.

Good riddance.

Better off out of the house of Kards

Large numbers of younger Germans - those born after the war, perhaps - are terrified of Germany's militaristic tendencies. They feel that a Germany as a member of a group of allies is one way to stop German expansionism from rearing its ugly head again. They lead Europe by dint of their economy, not their army. We can challenge their leadership, not by war, but by "outperforming" them. Some fucking hope, eh?

Your political commentary, above, is a load of fucking bollocks, showing a Trump level of political expertise.

As opposed to your one-sided gang mentality on practically every matter.

Is there ANY subject where you don't follow party lines?

...one-sided gang mentality...

A childish statement.

I genuinely have found nothing since Dave took over that could really be worth a mention. Everything the Tories have done is to force the poor to pay for the mistakes of the rich. If you expect me to appreciate their works, if there is something I've forgotten, you'll have long wait. Their debit side is just too huge to balance.

I've heard that soon they will apply Bedroom Tax to pensioners with "big homes". That should be interesting.

Exiled old bean - historically, you've done little different, except that you wait for the 'winning side' and then align your beliefs with it, then hope no-one remembers the past. You did it with Blair, Cameron and now May. It's an observation, not a criticism and perhaps a survivalist technique learned from your years on the streets.

One year ago, you voiced your support for Britain remaining in the EU, citing that people had moved for work since the dawn of man and should not be stopped and that the UK could dominate the world's wealthiest trading bloc.

I am nothing of the sort I am not sitting on the fence nor handbrake parked either side of it.

I look into issues, decide based on information available where I stand and then largely stay there. Because of our party system I find myself often at odds and in agreement some times wih the same party on different issues. It's because I am a rational human being not a gang member. I have no poltical ideology to follow nor religion to adhere to. That is not 'doing little different' from initial comment of one-sided gang politics it is the EXACT opposite.

I Enjoy a lot of what Europe has to offer and indeed thought for years that we should remain but I became a Brexiter when I started to do my due diligence about one year prior to my vote.

I called it right on that, Renzi, and trump and have the funds to prove it.

I have of course called it wrong in the past most notably on the Iraq war.

People have moved since the dawn of man which is why immigration per se was not a massive factor for me but people coming to impose an ideology or not add value can fuck right off back to where they came from.

A very weak and tenuous claim from you.

Is that all you can come up with from 7 years - and mounting - of misery for many? A one handed clap.

I'm not really sure how Europeans have imposed an ideology on you. Are you that weak that you've felt forced to buy Polish sausages from Waitrose?

Perhaps you've been suckered into what the Brexit architects wanted - associating EU immigration with Islamic terrorism.

As for adding value, we'll see in a decades time. Will the unemployed of Hull, South Wales and the Midlands be moving to Wisbech to pick fruit and vegetables?

A silly, literalist reply.

There are plenty of voters out there who voted for Brexit, but think it's madness and hugely detrimental forthe UK to be outside the single market. This is why the likes of Major and Heseltine want the UK to have a referendum on the terms of Brexit.

I have no doubt you made a lot of money betting against the FX markets over Brexit, but you don't have to layer your reasoning with self-referential faeces.
